Dhikala is the largest and most safari zone in Jim Corbett National Park and the entrance to this safari zone is called Dhangarhi Gate. Canter Safari in Corbett is conducted by the forest officials of Jim Corbett National Park. It is the only option for those visitors who are staying outside the resort area and want to explore the wilderness of Dhikala zone. Canter Safari is considered the best option to visit the deep forest area of Corbett Tiger Reserve with a group of friends or family.

The open Canter accommodates 16 passengers at a time and is operated in two different shifts—morning and evening. It takes you through the lush green Sal forests, massive riverbeds, and expansive grasslands of Dhikala, providing a wonderful opportunity to spot Royal Bengal Tigers, Asiatic Elephants, and rare wildlife species in their natural habitat.

🐅 Major Guidelines for Corbett Canter Safari

• Mandatory Booking: Canter safari permits must be booked well in advance as only 4 canters are allowed inside the Dhikala zone per shift.
• ID Proof: All passengers must carry the same original identity card (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.) that was used during the online booking process.
• Entry & Exit: The safari vehicle starts from Ramnagar and enters through the Dhangarhi Gate, ensuring strict adherence to official forest timings.
